Hallo peeps!
Second full two hours of critical thinking class went as smooth as expected. I can survive with that, so amazing right? HEHEHE
When the subject of philosophy is brought up, what are some of the definition that spring to mind? Would some of the common answers be way of life or any else? Philosophy is often equated with to know the meaning of life. So, Dr just kind of pick random person to ask about what we hold to motivate us to keep walking in this sweet sour world. Kevin mentioned in class, he cling with the one quote saying that "In order to be a king, thus, kill the prince" By any simple word, you don't have to be a second version of anyone, you're just as good as you were born to be.
I'm at that age in between adolescence and being an adult, and there have many books and movies treat me how to create our own philosophy .Regardless of that, as from my perspective, my philosophy is I am the idea of my best person, just shines everything with your own originality, growing up doesn't mean deciding to be one or the other, maybe its deciding to be you. Whatever condition that may be.
On the other hand, thinking is the process of mind, reason, intelligence. Activate your brain cell to work effectively.4 strategies of thinking which are radical ( struggle), systematic, universal ( resourceful) and controlled ( by moral values, religion ). The more you think, the smarter you grow. Thinking well affect a person's success. Even when we want to do anything, thinking have not taken a backseat. Hence, we cannot ignore the habit of thinking. The habit needs to be practiced and allow to flow from a regular routine. Okay? :)
Another half an hour before the class dismissed, Dr asked us to sit in group, and gave us one western philosophy word which is idealism, to define the meaning. The class immediately took action, we google it in a state of confusion. So, the yield is, the ideology of still beliving in God but at the same time, defending the right to think freely. Learnt a good lesson, checked !!
To wrap up this post, again, in this class, there is no common sight to see students yawning or falling asleep in the back row of class that is conducted by a lecturer who makes attempt in injecting life into the class. I'm now thrilled to have finally found clear, applicable ideas on what I need to hold as my principles of life., You dr, have given me a much needed enlightment.Enjoy the fleeting moment while it lasts!
Till then,
